As I do for every book, I've commissioned illustrations for The Rill Lord. These are from Jamie Noble. Fair warning though: these illustrations depict scenes certain to spoil key events in the book!
If you care at all about reading a pristine, totally unspoiled finale of a book... skip this post until after you've read The Rill Lord.
If you prefer to read a book completely without outside images competing for space in how you envision the story... skip this post until after you've read The Rill Lord.
If you don't give a darn about being spoiled... if you simply love to look at cool fantasy art... if you have no self-control and cannot resist looking at new, exciting things...
Here you go! And to preserve a modicum of non-spoilerishness I am showing these illustrations without full context -- for now. After The Rill Lord is published I will provide more context for the illustrations. And that time is now... proceed knowing there will be spoilers.

Nammuor is on the cover of The Rill Lord and he also makes an appearance in this illustration.
Here he is facing... Hans.
Readers know how Hans got here and that he's surprised. I should think facing Nammuor would be terrifying for anyone. Hans has seen what Nammuor is capable of and he knows that he doesn't have a shot in hell of defeating him. But he might survive him.
I think both Hans and Nammuor look utterly cool.

Yes, that's Dorilian.
Now that I can use spoilers, I will say a little more. Dorilian has been holding back on using his ability to command Rill power for a three books now. It was inevitable that in the final book he would unleash that power.
This is the fortress of Elithegh. It has two towers and something is taking place on one of those towers that makes Dorilian hold back. Until now.
.
Let's just say that this is going to cost him.
More art may be on the way. But for now, have fun with these!
