Readers may have noticed that the setting of each book of the Triempery Revelations has been getting... smaller. The settings of Sordaneon and The Kheld King encompassed the entire Triempery. The story took characters, and reader, from Sordan to Essera, Amallar to Mormantalorus. In The Second Stone the setting narrowed to Sordan and Essera, with a side trip to Trongor. Things zoomed in more in The God Spear, which took place mostly in Amallar. And in The Walled City the story left behind everything south of the Dazun River and took place almost entirely in Essera as it focused on the war for the Esseran throne.. and so much more. Readers visited the Royal North, experienced the dark side of Dazunor-Rannuli, and got to see Stauberg and its Wall.

The Rill Lord takes readers back to the beginning and the end. Dorilian was at Gustan Manor with Marc Frederick in Sordaneon. Profound things happened there—and will happen there again.

This lovely map will be included in The Rill Lord (black and white in paperback or hardcover and color in ebooks) along with the larger Essera map. The map shows the area around Gustan Manor: its position on the Dazun River, the town of Gustan, the Orry River and its bridges.

Sonnen Hill.

Nearby farms.

And the fortress of Elithegh, where the series villain, Nammuor, has holed up for a long-anticipated battle.

All of these locations play prominent roles in the story. They get mentioned quite a lot. If readers are at all like me—and some are bound to be—they will want to have a good grasp on where these places are in relation to each other.

The Rill Lord will have fighting and the aftermath of fighting... escapes and skirmishes and searches. Action can move around quite a lot. Wars and battles are big events and can be confusing.

This map should help make things a little less so.
